Paul Haynes conducts an APD Evolution Vision Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) training course for Michael Menduno.  As the owner and Editor of the superb 1990's magazine aquaCORP, Michael originally introduced the term 'technical diving' into sport diving vocabulary and was at the forefront of the technical diving revolution and an integral part of its early development and history.  Having had a 10 year break from diving, Michael is now back into diving journalism and as such wished to undergo rebreather training as part of his re-introduction to the diving scene.

Five days of Megalodon Closed Circuit Rebreather training conducted in Scapa Flow for Emily, owner and Skipper of MV Radiant Queen and Ben, co-owner of Scapa SCUBA. Both have an extensive knowledge of the German High Seas Fleet and the wrecks themselves. Radiant Queen is now fully CCR 'friendly' and a highly recommended 'day boat' running out of Stromness. Well done to both - fantastic week and welcome to the CCR community. Remember, at some point your life support will fail to function correctly; plan on it.

A two-week Stealth electronic Closed Circuit Rebreather (eCCR) Instructor Training course conducted for a European maritime Special Operations Team on behalf of Divex Ltd.  The Stealth eCCR is the world's most advanced military mixed gas closed circuit rebreather, further information may be found at www.divexglobal.com

Wreck of SS Fernside dived in poor spring tide conditions, visibility 1m, water temperature 6C. Located approximately 6 miles off Stonehaven on the NE coast of Scotland at a depth of 60m.  SS Fernside is a 117 feet long collier which had set out on 26 February 1942 from Hartlepool bound for Wick with a cargo of coal.

Dived the tanker Baku Standard torpedoed 1917 and sunk in 60m 5 miles off Gourdon, NE Scotland. Good conditions for early winter, water temp 11C, visibility 5m to 8m.
